From its onset, the TAW programme has been especially focused on providing the affected communities more options or channels to communicate to the public their opinions and ideas towards the tsunami rehabilitation process. Developing IT and internet skills is another element in making this possibility more concrete. On the basis that the internet is a means for the impacted communities to communicate their opinions freely, the TAW programme began IT training for interested individuals (mostly young people) from the affected communities. This service is designed to improve their learning of IT , hence , creating a body of knowledge for the affected communities. TAW has also established communal internet centers in the target communities.
